Prince Edward Island
beaches are among the best in the country with the warmest ocean waters north
of the Carolinas.
Prince Edward Island beaches have miles of sandy shoreline, fringing the
garden province with colourful stretches of white, champagne, pink and red
beaches.
Prince Edward Island beaches are where you can spend the day communing
with the shorebirds and listening to the waves; we have beaches where the
whole family can play in the surf with their friends. We have beaches where
you can follow an interpreter and learn about the geology, flora and fauna of
the Island shore.
Prince Edward Island National Park of Canada is home to sand dunes, barrier
islands and sandspits, beaches, sandstone cliffs, wetlands and forests.
These diverse habitats provide a home for a variety of plants and animals,
including the endangered Piping Plover.
The National Park also features unique cultural resources, notably Green
Gables and Dalvay-by-the-Sea National Historic Site.
In 1998, six kilometres of the Greenwich Peninsula were added to the Park to
protect unique dune formations, rare plants and animals, as well as
archaeological findings dating back 10,000 years.
Hear the ocean waves from GoodView, walk to Covehead Bay where blue herons
are abundant, and enjoy quiet walks along Prince Edward Island
beaches to view the magnificent sunset.
GoodVIew Cottagess is a short walk to the
beach and is pleased to provide you with more information on Prince
Edward Island GoodView Cottagess.
